Excess is dependent on the car; please see the table below. Excess is paid if :
- the car (tyres, windows, keys etc.) is damaged or lost, except if as of a result of an accident caused solely by another driver
- the driver causes damage to other cars resulting in a claim.
If the terms and conditions of the car hire contract are violated, the insurance cover is invalidated. It is a term of the contract to report accidents to the police.
REDUCE YOUR LIABILITY:
It is possible to take out an additional insurance to reduce the possibility of paying the excess; the cost for group A, B, C and P is 10,50 euros per day, for other groups please see the table below. The additional insurance excludes:
- damage to cars while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- wilfull damages
- lost keys.
