CampoReal Resort is taking shape in the heart of Portugal's enchantingly rural "Oeste" (west) region, near Torres Vedras, just a 30 minutes drive from Lisbon and 15 minutes from the beaches.
CampoReal is already known as Portugal's most exciting residencial, golf and leisure development. The name translates literally as "the Royal Meadow" and was inspired by the first Kings of Portugal who used the area as their personal hunting ground.
It was designed by Donald Steel : 18 hole golf course. The course covers an area of 55 hectares and is 6 009 metres in length, and is surrounded entirely by well-appointed buggy-paths. |

Academy Facilities
Both long game and short game
will be catered for at the extensive practise facilities. The driving range will be very long with tees at either end to offer scope for both warm-up and teaching areas. Targets in the form of proper greens defended by bunkers have been constructed on the driving range to make the practise much more realistic.
The short game area will contain three greens built to the same specification as those on the course and will permit practice of all types of shot from inmediately around the greens such as chipping, pitching, and bunker shots.
The
academy will be run by qualified PGA Professionnals experienced in all aspects of golf. Pupils will have the opportunity to have their swing analysed by the excellent GASP swing system as well as the chance to use modern day swing aids to enhance the feel of the correct swing.
A number of various packages will be available to players who wish to make a more long term conmitment to their golf, as well as individual lessons for the more experienced player, or even someone just wanting to have a first go at golf.
A large putting green is ideally
located between the 1st and 10th tees ready for players to do some last minute preparation before commencing their game. |
